Responsibilities

Summary

  • Provide support to CHRO while producing HR programs and services that drive organizational and employee performance and a productive work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide support to CHRO
  • Provide support to HR team counterparts and staff when complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise
  • Track data, generate and distribute reports
  • Counsel employees
  • Assist with investigations
  • Assist with development and distribution of dept communications and documentation
  • Develop and update policies and procedures; may update and maintain employee handbook
  • Perform research and develop new job descriptions
  • Support special projects
  • Assist with administration and presentation of ee training
  • Assist with compliance initiatives
  • Maintain working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations to ensure that employee action and program are in compliance
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field
  • Minimum four years' HR-related job experience
  • HRIS experience
  • Valid California drivers license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation

Preferred

  • Completion of PHR or Human Resources Certificate Program

Required Skills/Knowledge/Ability

  • Thorough knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), business communication systems and internet search capabilities
