Responsibilities

Support community engagement and resident involvement in Health Cities Healthy Residents program in Oceanside.

  • Assist in the recruitment and facilitation of Coalition members building relationships with key civic leaders, schools, business sector, policy makers, community organization, residents and youth
  • Identify cultural preferences and practices of target population related to their needs
  • Work effectively in a team environment to support the vision, mission, goals, and activities of the organization and contact requirements
  • Track activities and complete reports
Qualifications

Minimum

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum two years' experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Valid California drivers license, current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally with target population and all levels personel staff in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be proactive
  • Ability to track and manage time effectively
  • Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities
