Responsibilities

Provide oversight of assigned clinic operations. Direct and supervise daily clinical operations including patient flow and program maintenance, and ensure adherence to all policies and standards; maintenance of quality control, staffing, training and counseling of employees; and inventory and maintenance of facility.

  • Provide direct supervision to clinic managers assigned to the clinics; select, orient and train staff; evaluate job performance
  • Meet regularly with the COO to communicate status of clinic
  • Facilitate clinical operations meetings, and attend other related meetings in the absence of the COO
  • Review appointment schedules for each site to ensure that appointment slots are fully booked and clinic managers are actively managing schedules
  • Responsible for ensuring that all supervised sites are operating efficiently and effectively, meeting production, business, and organizational objectives. Meet regularly with clinic managers to ensure that objectives, goals, quotas, and outcomes are met. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain knowledge of the appointment schedule; review scheduling of site on a daily basis; review availability of appointments to assist in accommodating patients who request services throughout the day; coordinate access to care with Clinic Managers at all sites. Monitor to assure that all patients are reminded on the day before their scheduled appointment
  • Periodically review registration paperwork to assure that all charts, forms and reports are available prior to the patient visit. Ensure that staff is assessing patient eligibility for programs and assigns staff to assist patients with paperwork to determine which programs benefit the patient
  • Maintain knowledge in all aspects of the clinic operations and the duties of all staff. Fill in to provide assistance with patient flow as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 8 years healthcare operations experience, with increasing responsibilities
  • 5 years supervisory experience in an outpatient clinic, preferrably Community Health Center/Federally Qualified Health Center
  • Valid California drivers license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between clinics for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes; minimum two years driving experience
